Beneath the surface on the Big Sable

In the months between hatching the idea for Michigan River News and clicking “publish” on our first blog post, we passed all sorts of interesting attractions out on the information superhighway, but we didn’t have any place to post them.

Now we’ve got Upstream, which the editors of Michigan River News have called one of the top three blogs about rivers in Michigan.  And we can post things here that aren’t exactly news, as long as we think they’re cool.  We are dizzy with power.

A while ago I stumbled on a neat video shot by a scuba diver swimming in the Big Sable River near Ludington.  (Or is it the Big Sauble?  Or just the Sable?  It’s certainly not the Au Sable.)

We’ve all seen underwater footage of tropical reef fish, but it’s cool to see walleye, perch, largemouth bass and other freshwater fish doing their thing in a Michigan river.

Check it out, and let us know if you’ve got a cool video related to Michigan rivers.  If we agree that it’s sweet, we’ll post it on Upstream and let our readers know you are awesome.
